Margaret is an experienced infrastructure and energy professional with a career spanning the full project lifecycle — from concept to operation. Her expertise lies in structuring sustainable projects that integrate technical, financial, legal, environmental, and regulatory dimensions. She led the development and implementation of hydro, thermal, solar and wind power projects in Namibia as well as Africa.  

She has played a leading role in shaping Namibia’s energy landscape, contributing to the Namibian Renewable Energy Grid Code, the update of ECB Licence Conditions, and the National Integrated Resource Plan. Margaret has also guided major industrial clients in their decarbonisation and sustainability strategies. 

As a partner at Mutschler Consulting Services (MCS), she supported international clients in developing large-scale renewable and Power-to-X (PtX) projects, including giga-scale green hydrogen developments across three continents. As a pioneer in Namibia’s green hydrogen industry, Margaret served as the inaugural Chairperson of the Namibian Green Hydrogen Association (NamGHA).  

She also serves on the boards of two Namibian investment funds — one of which focuses on supporting the growth of SMEs and has achieved notable success in funding and advancing small business development.  

At the request of the Ministry of Finance, she serves on the Public Private Partnership Committee, applying her cross-sector expertise to advance sustainable infrastructure development. 

Margaret joined GBA in 2025 as caretaker CEO, with a focused mandate to capitalize on emerging opportunities for IPPs in power markets that are expanding access and interconnectivity, enabling the development and deployment of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the sub-Saharan region.
