Elsie Kambala
Elsie Kambala is SLB’s Country Manager for Namibia, a role she assumed in early 2025. In this capacity, she leads SLB’s operations and strategic initiatives in Namibia, focusing on advancing the country’s energy ambitions through innovation, sustainable development, and inclusive growth. Her leadership is pivotal as Namibia prepares for first oil and works to establish a resilient, digitally enabled, and globally competitive energy ecosystem.
Elsie joined SLB with extensive experience in financial services and operational leadership. Before her current role, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Unit Trust at Old Mutual Investment Group Namibia Ltd and held strategic positions at the Bank of Namibia, strengthening her expertise in governance, risk management, and innovation. She also serves as a Director on the Board of the Contractors Oil and Gas Association of Namibia supporting industry collaboration and local capacity development.
Elsie holds a Master of Science degree in Investment Analysis with Distinction from the University of Stirling and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Oil and Gas with Energy Management. She is also conducting doctoral research focused on policy frameworks for Namibia’s sustainable oil and gas development.
She was recently recognized as one of Africa’s Top 50 Most Inspirational Female Energy Executives, an accolade that celebrates women who are making significant contributions to the energy industry while inspiring the next generation of leaders through their impact, innovation, and commitment to excellence, Elsie is guided by her leadership philosophy of “elevating others through knowledge and trust.”
