Ekkehard Friedrich, CFA, is the Founder and Managing Partner of Shepherds Tree Investments, a Namibian strategy and transaction advisory firm deeply involved in the emerging Namibian oil & gas, transport & logistics, mining and hospitality & tourism sectors.

Amongst other recent projects, Shepherds Tree was part of the team that advised Namcor on the Namibian Gas Monetization Strategy and has originated and guided international investors through sizeable Namibian acquisitions. 

A former partner at Eos Capital, a Namibian private equity and infrastructure investment firm,and ex-Accenture M&A consultant, he is a recognised advisor, dealmaker and commentator inthe local and regional energy and investment landscape.

Ekkehard holds BEng (Industrial) and MSc (Engineering Management) degrees from Stellenbosch University and is a CFA Charterholder.
