Chantell Van Bloemenstein is a Principal Geoscientist at Petroleum Agency South Africa (Petroleum Agency SA) with nearly 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Her expertise spans geology, geophysics, and stratigraphy, with a primary focus on evaluating conventional petroleum resources along South Africa's offshore margin. Over the course of her career, she has contributed to regional basin evaluation and petroleum prospectivity studies, particularly in the Orange and Cape Basins, while also collaborating on projects in the Outeniqua Basin. Chantell holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology and a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of the Western Cape. She is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and is committed to advancing geoscientific understanding of South Africa's offshore petroleum potential.
