Aune holds a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geoscience from Heriot-Watt University and a Master of Business Administration from Robert Gordon University, both in Scotland, United Kingdom. With 20 years of professional experience across the mining and petroleum sectors, Aune has extensive expertise in resource exploration, production, and regulatory management.
She currently serves at the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy as Deputy Director for Petroleum Exploration and Production and also as Acting Petroleum Commissioner, where she contributes to the sustainable development and governance of Namibia’s petroleum resources.
