Shoki Kandjimi

Communication and Stakeholders Engagement Officer, Petrofund

Shoki Kandjimi is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (CPRP), accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) and a seasoned Communications and Public Relations specialist with nearly a decade of experience. He currently serves as the first Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Division at PETROFUND, where he leads both internal and external communications initiatives and spearheads stakeholder engagement strategies.

Kandjimi previously served as the Government Spokesperson (Senior Public Relations Officer) and also held the position of Information Officer at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) for five years. He played a key role in establishing the PR office at the Ministry, enhancing its brand positioning and building strong media relations to improve the Ministry’s public image.

Kandjimi holds a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Technology as well as a Bachelor of Communications Honours from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). Additionally, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the NUST Business School. Notably, he also serves as the Alumni President and as a member of the University’s Council/Board. Moreover, he was recently appointed by the Editors’ Forum of Namibia as a Member of the Media Complaints Committee in the Office of the Media Ombudsman.

A passionate advocate for youth development, Kandjimi is actively involved in several youth-focused projects and organisations. He is also a broadcaster with experience in radio and television management and presenting. As a respected public speaker, he frequently serves as a master of ceremonies for high-profile events and moderates panel discussions.
