Les  is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specialising in strategic development, portfolio management, and operational excellence. He has held leadership roles at BP, XMT Inc. and Newpek LLC, managing global projects in West Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. At Newpek LLC, Les led upstream operations in the U.S., Peru, and Mexico, driving growth and successful exploration projects. As CEO of XMT Inc., he oversaw deepwater strategies for clients including BP in Angola and Brazil. While at BP, Les played key roles in high-impact projects such as waterflood management at Prudhoe Bay, securing the Guarapiche license in Venezuela, and advising on LNG investments in Trinidad. His expertise also includes portfolio strategy development at Talisman Energy and joint venture alignment for Ghana’s Jubilee license at Kosmos Energy.

Les began his career with Schlumberger Well Services, gaining hands-on technical expertise in wellsite operations. He holds a BSc in Physics, a BA in Mathematics, and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering, demonstrating his strong technical foundation and analytical acumen. Les’s comprehensive experience and leadership have consistently driven innovation and operational success in complex and dynamic energy markets.
