Gilles Pantanacce’s career includes pivotal roles at ExxonMobil and Astris, where he honed his expertise in reserves advisory, project development, and operational leadership.

He holds two Master’s degrees: one in Geology with a specialization in Reservoir Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure de Géologie, and another in Geoscience and Civil Engineering with a focus on HydroGeoMechanics from the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, both completed between 2004 and 2007 in France. This strong academic foundation has underpinned his successful career in the oil and gas industry.

As Chief Operating Officer at Rhino Resources Ltd, Gilles oversees operational activities that have led to major discoveries in the Orange Basin, including Sagittarius-1X and Capricornus-1X in early 2025, and the ongoing Volans-1X drilling campaign. His leadership is characterized by a strategic commitment to operational excellence and resource optimization.
