Ekkehard Friedrich is the Founder and Managing Partner of Shepherds Tree Investments, a Namibian corporate finance and strategy advisory firm providing a range of services to local and international corporates and investors. With over 15 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, Ekkehard is a distinguished financier, known for his exceptional network and successful track record in originating, structuring, funding, executing, and managing of high impact transactions and projects in Namibia and beyond. He serves on several boards of directors and investment committees and is recognized for his strategic insight and thought leadership in sectors including oil & gas, marine & logistics, real estate and tourism.

Previously, Ekkehard served as a Partner of Eos Capital, a Namibian private equity and infrastructure fund management firm with ~NAD1.2 billion AUM and held high profile strategy consulting / M&A roles Accenture and Rand Strategy Advisors where he advised major corporates and international private equity firms such as Sasol and Carlyle on a variety of strategy and transaction advisory assignments.

Ekkehard is a CFA Charterholder and holds MSc in Engineering Management and BEng in Industrial Engineering degrees from Stellenbosch University.
