Chantell Van Bloemenstein

Chantell Van Bloemenstein is a Principal Geoscientist at the Petroleum Agency SA with a background in the fields of Geology, Geophysics, and Stratigraphy. Her nearly 15 years in the oil and gas industry include three years as an intern geologist and 12 years in her current capacity as an offshore geoscientist. Chantell’s primary focus is on the evaluation of conventional petroleum resources along South Africa's offshore margin. She has worked extensively on various regional basin evaluation projects, with a focus on the Orange and Cape Basins as well as collaborations in the Outeniqua Basin along the South Coast. Ms Van Bloemenstein holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology and a B.Sc. in Applied Geology from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). She is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
