Rhino Resources Namibia Ltd is an independent energy company strategically advancing Namibia’s offshore sector through its exploration activities in Petroleum Exploration Licence 85 (PEL85) in the Orange Basin. As operator, Rhino’s focused approach to technical excellence and accelerated investment, aligned with national energy objectives, underpins its mission to deliver affordable and reliable energy in rapid project timelines. 

In late 2024, Rhino launched a landmark two-well drilling campaign. Both wells, Sagittarius and Capriconrus-1X, encountered hydrocarbons, with no visible water contact, indicating a strong petroleum system and promising reservoir quality. Drill-stem testing of Capriconrus-1X achieved a historic flow rate of 11,000 bbls/d of light oil, marking a major milestone in Rhino’s strategic journey.
