As the event continues to grow in importance, it will provide unparalleled opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and the development of essential industry skills.
The event is hosted by the Economic Association of Namibia (EAN), in partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), with the strategic partnership of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) as well as SNC Incorporated. The conference also has the official endorsement of Namibia’s, Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy.
This year’s conference has expanded its scope with a doubled exhibition space, catering to the growing demand for showcasing new technologies, solutions and services within the industry. In addition, attendees can participate in an enhanced programme of networking opportunities, designed to foster collaboration and drive sustainable growth across the industry. These include:
- 12 August – Pre-Conference Local Content and Supplier Masterclass: Ahead of the main summit, pre-summit masterclasses will take place. Launched in 2024, the masterclasses were a resounding success with over 500 delegates attending to learn more about the requirements to unleash Namibia’s potential. Industry experts will lead specialised a newly introduced local content and supplier masterclass aimed at developing skills in various technical and business aspects of the sectors, as well as helping companies understand how to become a supplier to the major operators and contractors developing Namibia’s energy industry.
- 13-14 August – Technical Conference (New for 2025): A two-day, in-depth technical conference where industry leaders, policymakers, and experts will present on the latest trends, research, and developments in oil, gas, and energy. This conference aims to foster meaningful discussions around technological advancements, policy shifts, and the future of the industry.
- 15 August – NIPDB Business Matching: As part of NOGC 2025, The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board is organising a business-to-business service to facilitate connections between investors and companies interested in engaging with Namibia's oil and gas industry. This initiative is designed to streamline business interactions, offering tailored matchmaking services to help businesses identify potential partners, explore investment opportunities and navigate the complexities of the sector.
As Namibia continues to position itself as a key player in the global energy market, the 3rd Namibia Oil and Gas Conference will be a vital platform for professionals to exchange ideas, enhance their expertise, and discuss the future of the energy landscape. The conference also aims to address the critical need for a skilled workforce to support the growing demands of the oil, gas and energy sectors.
Recognising the growing significance of natural gas in Namibia’s energy portfolio, NOGC 2025 will also feature dedicated sessions exploring recent developments in the sector. This will include discussions on key projects such as the Kudu Gas Field and emerging offshore discoveries, highlighting their potential to reshape Namibia’s energy mix and bolster regional energy security. Experts will delve into infrastructure challenges, investment opportunities and the role of natural gas in facilitating a transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Manager Marketing, Communication and Public Relations of NAMCOR Paulo Coelho encouraged those to participate. “This year, as we look ahead to the main event in August, we are particularly excited about the theme: “From Exploration to Action: Positioning Namibia as the next Energy Frontier,” A theme which aligns with our dedication to moving beyond just discovering resources, we are now focused on taking real steps to grow the industry and place Namibia at the center of the global energy stage. Our continued involvement shows our dedication to turning opportunities into action and helping Namibia take its rightful place as a leader in the energy sector. That being said, we urge young Namibians, the students, entrepreneurs, early-career professionals to engage, learn, and get involved. Attend the conference, join the dialogues, ask the tough questions, and explore how your skills, ideas, and aspirations fit into this dynamic industry,” he encouraged.
Economic Association of Namibia Deputy Chairman, Jesaya Hano-Oshike highlighted the theme of the 3rd edition of the conference “We are excited to expand the conference for 2025 and place a stronger emphasis on positioning Namibia as the next energy frontier. The NOGC exhibition saw a 52% growth from the inaugural event in 2023 to 2024 and 40% increase in attendees within the same period. NOGC 2025 will be doubling in size with the introduction of a new hall to give access to more entrepreneurs, SMEs and new entrants to the market at this year’s event. The continued growth and relevance of this conference are evidenced by the eager and enthusiastic participation of both local and international stakeholders.

Hano-Oshike further spoke on the sector “The oil and gas industry is rapidly evolving, and Namibia must keep up by taking clear steps to build and manage its energy future. This year’s conference will significantly broaden its agenda, doubling the exhibition space to accommodate increased interest in new technologies, solutions, and services in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we will allow a match making mentor and mentee platform for the youth in this industry to take full advantage of this platform and further their exposure to the experts in this field. We will also identify a beneficiary towards the exhibitors’ entrance fee gathered from the public. We have a responsibility to be practical in our third year and go beyond talking and implementing a few tangible benefits that this industry has to offer,” he stated.
NIPDB Executive Director: Strategy & Branding Margreth Gustavo shared their reflection on last years conference and look forward to the third edition. “Looking ahead, our strategic focus for the 2025 edition of the conference and beyond revolves around three core pillars: Unlocking Investment-Ready Supply Chain Opportunities, Deepening Local Content and Industrial Participation and Fostering Youth Employment Through Skills Development. NIPDB remains committed to working with all our partners to ensure that this sector delivers on its promise not just in GDP terms, but in the tangible improvement of livelihoods, the strengthening of our institutions and the diversification of our industrial base. The future of Namibia’s oil and gas industry is not offshore. It is here onshore, in our people, our businesses and our bold ambitions,” Gustavo added.
