The Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) is a non-profit organization governed by the Olympic Charter of the IOC and also serves as the Commonwealth Games Association affiliated to the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF). Its primary purpose is to organize and plan the participation of Namibian athletes in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, working closely with the Namibia Sports Commission.

Founded on 28 May 1990 under the leadership of former President Dr. Sam Nujoma, who remains patron today, the NNOC became a provisional CGF member weeks later and joined the IOC in 1991, ahead of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Seventeen sport disciplines joined at inception; the NNOC now has 26 members. Namibia made history in Barcelona when Frankie Fredericks won two silver medals and has since qualified athletes for every Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

Mission: To promote Olympism throughout Namibia and lead the Olympic movement in the country.

Vision: To become the leading National Olympic Committee on the continent by creating a sustainable environment that improves Namibians' quality of life through the Olympic ideals and values.
