NAMPORT
Stand: E12
Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) is a state own enterprise, established in 1994 to build, manage and control the country’s key commercial ports: Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. Namport provides world-class port facilities and services, supporting regional trade through four strategic corridors linking Namibia to landlocked SADC countries including Zambia, the DRC, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, and South Africa. The Port of Walvis Bay, Namibia’s largest port, handles over 6.6 million tonnes of cargo annually and is equipped for container, liquid bulk, and break-bulk operations. It offers ISPS-compliant infrastructure and is ISO certified in quality, environmental, and occupational safety standards. The Port of Lüderitz serves the southern region, with a focus on dry bulk, fishing, offshore mining, and energy operations. Both ports play a vital role in Namibia’s logistics and energy transition ambitions, including support for green hydrogen exports. Namport continues to expand infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors.
